CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY

There are three CSU schools in the Central Valley - CSU, Bakersfield; CSU, Fresno; and CSU, Stanislaus.

These CSU schools offer students the following programs and curriculum:

  • Various majors and programs, depending on the campus
  • Pre-professional programs
  • Bachelor of arts and science degrees
  • Masters of arts and science degrees
  • Teaching credentials
  • Joint-doctoral degrees offered at some campuses (e.g. Ed.D/Ph.D)
  • Certificate programs

    Freshman entrance requirements (by subject):

  • Social Science - 2 years
  • English - 4 years
  • Math - 3 years
  • Laboratory Science - 2 years
  • Foreign Languages - 2 years
  • Visual and Performing Arts - 1 year
  • College Preparation Electives - 1 year

    Test Requirements:

  • All grades counted (10th to 12th), except Military Science and P.E.
  • Below 3.0 GPA requires SAT or ACT.
  • Effective 2004, the GPA will be calculated only on the College Prep courses taken in 10th to 12th grade.
