Each
of the member campuses in the Central Valley Higher
Education Consortium (CVHEC) maintains active outreach
program to promote college-going. In addition,
CVHEC works collectively in the following areas:
P-16
Councils are
partnerships involving preschool through college educational
leaders along with local business leaders designed to
examine ways to close achievement gaps in student performance
and raise achievement levels for all students. The importance
of collecting and using data in policy decisions is
emphasized, along with academic rigor. The goal: higher
student achievement and more students enrolling in college.
The Central Valley Higher Education Consortium is currently
a partner in P-16 councils in Merced County and Tulare/Kings
County. Other regional councils are in the planning stages.

The Central Valley Guaranteed Transfer Program designed to ease the transfer process from
two-year community colleges to four-year universities in
our region.
The CVHEC Directory provides information on all
of the member colleges in the Central Valley and their
programs.
CVHEC is active
partner with the Campaign for
College Opportunity, an awareness and advocacy
effort to keep the promise to Californians of access to
higher education in our state.
