Youth Ambassadors for College Opportunity

High school students are being trained as college advocates in four local high schools: Hoover High School, Washington Union High School, El Diamante High School, and Riverdale High School. Using the “near peer” model, college students are mentoring high school students on how to develop a college going culture with in their high school community and neighborhoods. Samuel Arciniega, CVHEC Coordinator, provides leadership and training to the college interns working within the schools. This initiative is sponsored by the Stuart Foundation.
